A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, FINDING AND DETERMINING
THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES
IN THE PERFORMANCE OF PUBLIC WORKS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa is required to
find and determine the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for the
construction and performance of public works; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, acting as the
supervising authority of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District,
thereby is the designated agency for adapting wage scales for the per-
formance of public works for said District; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, acting as the
supervising authority of the Costa Mesa Street Lighting Energy and
Maintenance District, thereby is the designated agency for adopting wage
scales for the performance of public works for said District; and
WHEREAS, said general prevailing rates of per diem wages are set
forth in a document entitled: GENERAL WAGE DETERMINATION MADE BY THE
DIRECTOR OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA LABOR CODE, PART
7, CHAPTER 1, ARTICLE 2, SECTIONS 1770, 1773, AND 1773.1, effective
January 1, 1977, said document being attached hereto and by this
reference made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the
City, and within the requirements of the Labor Code of the State of
California, that said wage scales be adopted by reference;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I'T RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa, that said GENERAL WAGE DETERMINATION MADE BY THE DIRECTOR OF
INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA LABOR CODE, PART 7, CHAPTER
1, ARTICLE 2, SECTIONS 1770, 1773, AND 1773.1, effective January 1,
1977, copy of said document attached hereto and by this reference made
a part hereof, be, and the same is hereby, found and determined to be
the general prevailing rates of per diem wages for the performance of
public works; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said wage scales are hereby adopted by
reference as the general prevailing rates of per diem wages in the
performance of public works for the City of Costa Mesa, the Costa Mesa
Park and Recreation District, and the Costa Mesa Street Lighting Energy
and Maintenance District.
