HomeMy WebLinkAbout77-120 - Establishing Basic Pay ScheduleRESOLUTION NO. 77-120 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA ESTABLISHING THE BASIC PAY SCHEDULE, ESTABLISHING RATES OF PAY FOR CITY EMPLOYEES PLACED UNDER THE BASIC PAY SCHEDULE, AND ESTAB- LISHING RATES OF PAY FOR CITY EMPLOYEES NOT PLACED UNDER THE BASIC PAY SCHEDULE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The following Basic Pay Schedule for employees of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby adopted, effective October 3, 1977; rates established in the Basic Pay Schedule are expressed in dollars per month, payable beginning September 25, 1977. Pilot Proficiency Differential --applicable only to Police Department classifications assigned to helicopter pilot duty: ten (10) pay ranges, twelve and one-half (12-1/2) percent over assigned rate. Motorcycle Assignment --applicable only to employees in the classifica- tions of Police Officer, Senior Police Officer, and Police Sergeant when so assigned to motorcycle duty: five (5) percent over assigned rate. Matron Assignment --applicable only to Police Department clerical classi- fications when assigned as Matron: five (5) percent over assigned rate per shift. Paramedic Assignment --applicable only to Fire Department personnel when assigned to the Mobile Intensive Care Division: eight (8) ranges, ten (10) percent over assigned rate. SECTION 4. Night Shift Differential --applicable only to Police Department clerical classifications: five (5) percent over assigned rate. Morning Shift Differential --applicable only to Police Department clerical classifications:^ ten (10) percent over assigned rate. Pilot Proficiency Differential --applicable only to Police Department classifications assigned to helicopter pilot duty: ten (10) pay ranges, twelve and one-half (12-112) percent over assigned rate. Motarcycle Assignment --applicable only to employees in the classifica- tions of Police Officer, Senior Police Officer, and Police Sergeant when so assigned to motorcycle duty: five (5) percent over assigned 4 rate. Matron Assignment --applicable only to Police Department clerical classi- fications when assigned as Matron: five (5) percent over assigned rate per shift. Paramedic Assipment--applicable only to Fire Department personnel when assigned to the Mobile Intensive Care Division: eight (8) ranges, ten (10) percent over assigned rate. SECTION 6.
