A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE EX -OFFICIO
BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA PARK AND
RECREATION DISTRICT, DECLARING AND ORDERING CER-
TAIN TERRITORY KNOWN AS PARKS ANNEXATION NUMBER
ONE ANNEXED TO THE COSTA MESA PARK AND RECREATION
DISTRICT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, ACTING AS THE EX -
OFFICIO BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA PARK AND RECREATION
DISTRICT, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County,
California, did on the 9th day of November, 1977, approve the annexation
of certain territory described as Parks Annexation No. 1 to the Costa
Mesa Park and Recreation District, after application having been made
for said annexation pursuant to Section 54792, California Government
Code, and accompanied by written consent of one hundred percent (100%)
of the land owners within the territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby found and determined as follows:
(a) That the territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited and
that no written protests have been filed and that the written
protests filed and not withdrawn represent less than ten
percent (10%) of the number of land owners in the territory
proposed to be annexed, owning not more than ten percent (10%)
of the assessed value of land therein.
(b) That the proposed annexation will be for the interest of the
land owners and the present and future inhabitants within the
territory proposed to be annexed.
(c) That the City Council has taken into consideration as a factor
in addition to the factors hereinabove set forth, the Local
Agency Formation Commission's approval of the proposed annex-
ation.
(d) That the territory to be annexed is contiguous to the existing
boundaries of the City of Costa Mesa and is not, nor is any
part thereof, included in any other city or similar purpose.
(e) That pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act of
1970, Section 15119, Class 19-A, the annexation of the terri-
tory is declared "categorically exempt".
The City Council has hereby ordered the annexation of Parks An-
nexation No. 1 in accordance with Resolution 77-165 of the Local Agency
Formation Commission, without notice and hearing and without an elec-
tion, pursuant to Section 56261 of the California Government Code,
That for taxing purposes, said Annexation is to be deemed an
annexation to the "Basic Area" of the City of Costa Mesa and the Orange
County Assessor is so notified.
That the exterior boundaries of the territory annexed are as set
forth in a set of maps and three pages of legal descriptions attached
hereto, marked Exhibits 1, 1-A, 2, 2-A, 3, 3-A, and by this reference
made a part hereof .

PARKS ANNEXATION NO. 1
(AREAS 1, 2, AND 3) TO THE
COSTA MESA PARKS AND RECREATION DISTRICT
That portion of Lot 4, Block "D" of the Berry Tract per Map Recorded in
Book 9, Page 6 of Miscellaneous records of Los Angeles County, Cali-
fornia, situated in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of
California, more particularly described as follows:
AREA NO. 1
BEGINNING at an angle point in the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa
Parks and Recreation District as adopted by the Orange County Board of
Supervisors Resolution No. 61-1144, said angle point being the westerly
terminus of that certain course described as "easterly, 2,119.34 feet"
in said Resolution No. 61-1144, said angle point also being the south-
west corner of Tract No. 3885, as shown on a map recorded in Book 144,
Pages 46 and 47 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, Cali-
fornia.
Thence south 89°37'57" east along said boundary line of the Costa Mesa
Parks and Recreation District a distance of 884.63 feet, to a point,
said point being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING of the land herein des-
cribed, said point also being on a curve, concave southwesterly, having
a radius of 205.00 feet a radial bearing to said point bears south
45°21'01" west;
Thence departing from the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Parks and
Recreation District, northwesterly, along said curve, through a central
angle of 02°35'03" an arc length of 9.25 feet to the southerly corner of
Lot 15 of said Tract No. 3885;
Thence north 42°4558" east along the southeasterly line of Lot 15 of
said Tract No. 3885 a distance of 102.47 feet, to a point on a curve,
concave southwesterly, having a radius of 450.00 feet, a radial bearing
to said point bears north 44°40'04" east, said point is also being the
easterly corner of Lot 15 of said Tract No. 3885;
Thence southwesterly along said curve, through a central angle of
1328'07" an arc length of 105.78 feet to a point on a line in the
existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Parks and Recreation District as
described in said Resolution No. 61-1144, a radial line to said point
bears south 58'08'11" west;
Thence north 89°37'57" west along the existing boundary of the Costa
Mesa Parks and Recreation District to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
CONTAINING AN AREA OF 0.1372 ACRES.

All that certain territory situated in Lot 114 of Tract No. 300 as shown
on a map recorded in Book 14, Pages 11 and 12 of Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County, California, more particularly described as
follows:
AREA NO. 2
BEGINNING at an angle point in the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa
Parks and Recreation District as adopted by the City Council of the City
of Costa Mesa, Resolution No. 62-70, said angle point being the south-
easterly terminus of that certain course described as "south 50°11'45"
east, 300.00 feet", also being the most easterly corner of Tract No.
8390 as shown on a map recorded in Book 353, Pages 37 and 38 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California;
Thence leaving said boundary line of the Costa Mesa Parks and Recreation
District along the southeasterly prolongation of the last mentioned
course south 50°11'45" east a distance of 30.00 feet to the centerline
of Tustin Avenue; thence south 39049'30" west along the said centerline
of Tustin Avenue a distance of 33.53 feet to a point on a curve, concave
southerly, having a radius of 60.00 feet as described in the deed
recorded in Book 8567, Page 512 of Official Records of said County, a
radial line of said curve to said point bears north 20`21'18" east;
Thence northwesterly and westerly along said curve through a central
angle of 36°58'14" an are distance of 38.72 feet to a point on a line
that is parallel with and distant northwesterly 30.00 feet, measured at
right angles from said southeasterly line and said centerline of Tustin
Avenue, said parallel line also being the City of Costa Mesa boundary as
described in "Monte Vista Annexation No. 1" as adapted by the City of
Costa Mesa per Ordinance No. 62-19;
Thence along said parallel line and City of Costa Mesa boundary north
39°49'30" east 56.92 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

All that certain territory situated in the City of Costa Mesa, County of
Orange, State of California, more particularly described as follows:
AREA NO. 3
BEGINNING at an angle point in the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa
Parks and Recreation District as adopted by Orange County Board of
Supervisors Resolution No. 61-1144, said angle point being the westerly
terminus of that certain course described as "easterly 1,122.25 feet."
Thence, continuing along said existing boundary line of the Costa Mesa
Parks and Recreation District, as described in said Resolution No. 61-
1144 north 88°59'30" east a distance of 629.15 feet;
Thence leaving the said boundary line of the Costa Mesa Parks and
Recreation District north 7524'04" east a distance of 127.66 feet to a
point on the boundary line of the City of Santa Ana; said boundary line
being the southerly line of the Wakeham Avenue Annex to said city;
Thence continuing along said existing boundary line of the City of Santa
Ana south 88°59'30" west a distance of 812.86 feet to an angle point in
said city boundary;
Thence continuing along said existing boundary line of the City of Santa
Ana, south 00'17'30" east a distance of 30.00 feet;
Thence leaving the said boundary line of the City of Santa Ana north
88059'30" east a distance of 60.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
CONTAINING AN AREA OF 0.5172 ACRES
