HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-05 - Ordering Tustin-Woodland Annexation to the City of Costa MesaRESOLUTION NO. 79-5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "TUSTIN-WOODLAND ANNEXATION" AN- NEXED TO THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County did, on the 25th day of October, 1978, adopt Resolution 78-179, desig- nating the City of Costa Mesa as conducting authority of the inhabited territory designated "Tustin -Woodland Annexation" to the City of Costa Mesa; and WHEREAS, public hearing has been duly held on January 2, 1979, pursuant to Government Code Section 35200, et seq.; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALI- FORNIA, FINDS AND DETERMINES AS FOLLOWS: (a) That the territory to be annexed is inhabited and no written or oral protests have been received. (b) That the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission has determined said proposed annexation to be categorically exempt from the provisions and requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act. (c) That for taxing purposes said annexation is to be deemed an annexation to the "Basic Area" of the City of Costa Mesa, and the Orange County Assessor is so notified. (d) That the exterior boundaries of said annexation are as set forth in a map and legal description attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and by this reference made a part hereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the territory designated as "Tustin - Woodland Annexation" is hereby ordered annexed to the City of Costa Mesa without an election, pursuant to Government Code Sections 35228(c) and 35234. Gil21�_ City Clerk and ex -officio Clerk o the City Council of the City of Cost esa TUSTIN-WOODLAND ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF COSTA MESA All that certain territory situated in T6s, R10w in the County of .� Orange, State of California, more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as established by Woodland No. 3 Annexation to said City, said angle point being the northwesterly terminus of that certain course described as "S 50° E, 102.00 feet" in said Annexation; thence along said existing boundary per Woodland No. 3 Annexation, Fairlane Annexation, Sewell Annexation, Corridor No. 1 Annexation, Woodland No. 1 Annexation, the Incorporation and said Woodland No. 3 Annexa- tion in a general southeasterly, northeasterly, northwesterly, southwesterly, southeasterly, and northeasterly direction to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
