HomeMy WebLinkAbout78-113 - Establishing 24-minute Parking on West 19th StreetRESOLUTION NO. 78-113 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING 24 -MINUTE PARKING ON PORTIONS OF WEST NINETEENTH STREET WEST OF PLACENTIA AVENUE. WHEREAS, the occupants and owners of the properties abutting West 19th Street west of Placentia Avenue have requested the establishment of 24 -minute parking restrictions on the northerly curb of West 19th Street for the distance between 300 and 375 feet westerly of Placentia Avenue to facilitate short-term parking for their businesses; and WHEREAS, Section 10-207 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa provides for the establishment of 24 -minute parking areas by resolution of the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa as follows: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 10-207 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa, no vehicle shall stand or park for more than 24 minutes between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day except Sundays and holidays on the northerly curb of West 19th Street for the distance between 300 and 375 feet westerly of Placentia Avenue to facilitate short-term parking for businesses.
