A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, REMOVING PROHIBITION OF
PARKING ON A PORTION OF RUTGERS DRIVE FOR THE
PURPOSE OF STREET SWEEPING.
WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has
recommended to this City Council that parking not be prohibited at any
time on both curbs of Rutgers Drive between Villanova Road and Wake
Forest Road, for the purpose of street sweeping; and
WHEREAS, this Council has previously caused parking to be prohi-
bited on both curbs of Rutgers Drive for the purpose of street sweeping;
and
WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the
City that parking not be prohibited as recommended by the Costa Mesa
Traffic Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa that parking be, and the same is hereby not prohibited on
Rutgers Drive for its length between Villanova Road and Wake Forest
Road, for the purpose of street sweeping.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that signs shall be removed which now give
warning that vehicles parked in violation of said signs shall be removed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 15th day of September, 1980.
