HomeMy WebLinkAbout81-63 - Adopting GP-81-2A, Amending General Plan210 RESOLUTION NO. 81-63 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT GP -81-2A, AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. WHEREAS, the General Plan 1990, as amended, was adopted by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa by Resolution Number 71-27 on April 5, 1971; and WHEREAS, General Plan Amendment GP -81-2A, an application to change the land use designation of the properties located north from 302 through 396 East 20th Street, including only the even -numbered address, east from 2002 through 2130 Santa Ana Avenue, including only the evennumbered and excluding Robin Hood Lane, west from 2011 through 2175 Tustin Avenue, including only the odd -numbered addresses, and south from the northerly boundary of Kaiser School; east 200 feet from 2128 through 2144 Orange Avenue, including only the even -numbered addresses; from 282-298 21st Street, including only the even -numbered addresses, 2103 and 2105 Santa Ana Avenue, and 283, 289 and 297 Lilac Lane; from Low Density Residential to Medium Density Residential, has been recommended for adoption by the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, public hearing was duly held in accordance with Section 65355 of the Government Code of the State of California, all persons having been given the opportunity to be heard, both for and against said Amendment GP -81-2A to the General Plan; and WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that said Amendment to the General Plan be adopted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, that General Plan 1990 is hereby amended by the adoption of General Plan Amendment GP -81-2A, as shown in that document entitled, "June 1981 General Plan Review," Map 5, Option III, as modified by the deletion of properties along Robin Hood Lane, east of Santa Ana Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that based upon the find- ings of an Initial Study prepared in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act, a Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact has been prepared and is hereby adopted.
