A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, TO GRANT ANOTHER
DESIGNATED PERIOD FOR TWO YEARS ADDITIONAL
SERVICE CREDIT UNDER THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC
EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa is a contracting Public
Agency of the Public Employees' Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa desires to provide another
designated period for Two Years Additional Service Credit, California Government Code
Section 20903, based on the contract amendment included in said contract which
provided for Section 20903, Two Years Additional Service Credit, for eligible members.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Costa Mesa does seek to add another designated period, and does hereby
authorize this Resolution, indicating a desire to add a designated period from August
18, 2009 through December 31, 2009 for eligible miscellaneous (non -safety) members
in the City of Costa Mesa.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this Resolution and it shall thereupon take effect and be in force.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of August, 2009.
