A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO ORDER THE VACATION OF SURPLUS CITY RIGHT-OF-
WAY LOCATED BETWEEN CHURCH STREET AND FULLERTION
AVENUE, SOUTH OF 20TH STREET.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby
declare its intention to vacate surplus City right-of-way located
between Church Street and Fullerton Avenue, south of 20th Street,
described as follows:
PARCEL 1
The northwesterly 8.00 feet of the southeasterly 162.80 feet of
the southwesterly 45.00 feet of the northeasterly 120.00 feet
of Lot No. 201, Newport Heights tract, as per a map recorded in
Book 4, Page 83 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of the County
Recorder, Orange County, California (A.P. No. 426-264-16).
PARCEL 2
The southeasterly 7.50 feet of the northwesterly 467.50 feet of
the southwesterly 45.00 feet of the northeasterly 210.15 feet
of Lot No. 201, Newport Heights tract, as per a map recorded in
Book 4, Page 83 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of the County
Recorder, Orange County, California (A.P. No. 426-264-10).
PARCEL 3
The northwesterly 15.40 feet of the southeasterly 170.30 feet of
the southwesterly 45.00 feet of Lot No. 201, Newport Heights
tract, as per a map recorded in Book 4, Page 83 of Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of the County Recorder, Orange County, California
(A.P. No. 426-264-07).
RESERVING therefran an easement for all existing underground and
overhead public utilities together with the right of ingress and
egress for the purpose of maintaining, replacing, and upgrading
said existing public utilities.
SECTION 2. Monday, the 21st day of March, 1983, at the hour of
6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa
Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the
provisions of Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of
the State of California.
SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby
directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicu-
ously posted along said strips of land for at least ten (10) days
before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more
than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than
three (3) notices be posted.
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE
COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and pub-
lished in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
