HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-116 - Adopting SP-84-02RESOLUTION NO. 84-116 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING SPECIFIC PLAN SP -84-02, FOR PROPER'T'Y BOUNDED BY HARBOR BOULE- VARD, FORD ROAD, PARSONS STREET, AND BERNARD STREET. WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Costa Mesa City Council a Specific Plan for property bounded by Harbor Boulevard, Ford Road, Parsons Street, and Bernard Street; and WHEREAS, Section 65450 of the Government Code enables local govern- ments to adopt Specific Plans for the systematic implementation of their General Plans; and WHEREAS, an Initial Study of Environmental Impacts and a Negative Declaration prepared for General Plan Amendment GP -84-2B adequately consider the potential environmental impacts associated with Specific Plan SP -84-02; and WHEREAS, the Costa Mesa Planning Commission has recommended the adoption of said Specific Plan by Resolution PC -84-22, adopted July 23, 1984; and WHEREAS, a public hearing on the adoption of said Specific Plan has been duly held and conducted by the Costa Mesa City Council on September 17, 1984; and WHEREAS, the City Council, after hearing all the evidence, deems it to be in the best interest of the City that said Specific Plan be approved, ratified, and adopted. NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that said Specific Plan SP -84-02 for property bounded by Harbor Boulevard, Ford Road, Parsons Street, and Bernard Street, and shown in "SP -84-02, Harbor/Bernard/Parsons Specific Plan" is hereby approved, rati- fied, and adopted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Negative Declaration prepared for GP -84-2B is considered adequate for Specific Plan SP -84-02. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of September, 1984.
