HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-46 - Acknowledging Cultural Contribution by South Coast Symphony67 RESOLUTION NO. 84-46 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ACKNOWLEDGING THE CULTURAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE COMMUNITY BY THE SOUTH COAST SYMPHONY. WHEREAS, since its formation in 1973, South Coast Symphony has been dedicated to excellence by providing the cammunity with outstanding per- formances of great music, and it has promoted the musical growth of the musicians with the orchestra, and it also has sponsored a youth orchestra for talented and motivated students; and WHEREAS, South Coast Symphony has grown from 19 participants to 135 members in its 11 years of operation in the Long Beach -Orange County area; and WHEREAS, South Coast Symphony has became one of the finest orchestras in Southern California and is a valuable cultural asset to the community and widespread area; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, that recognition and appreciation are hereby extended to South Coast Symphony for their dedication in bringing enjoyment and a love of the cultural arts to the citizens of the City of Costa Mesa and Southern California.
