RESOLUTION NO. 84-65
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING PARKING ON
TUESDAYS BETWEEN 11:00 A.M. AND 1:00 P.M. ON A
PORTION OF MONROVIA AVENUE FOR THE PURPOSE OF
STREET SWEEPING.
WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has recan-
mended to this City Council that parking be prohibited on Tuesdays, between
11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on both curbs of Monrovia Avenue for its length
between 18th Street and 19th Street, for the purpose of street sweeping;
and
WHEREAS, Section 10-213 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa
Mesa provides for the designation of no -parking areas by resolution of the
City Council, and Sections 10-69(b) and 10-82 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Costa Mesa set forth provisions for enforcement and obedience to
Code regulations; and
WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City
that parking prohibition be authorized as recommended by the Costa Mesa
Traffic Cammission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa that parking be, and the same is hereby prohibited on Tuesdays,
between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., on both curbs of Monrovia Avenue for its
length between 18th and 19th Streets, for the purpose of street sweeping.
