HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-96 - Ordering Vacation - North side of W. 19th Street, West of Harbor Boulevard1 i�41 R Recorded July 23, 1984 4:00 p.m. Document No. 84-303139 RESOLUTION NO. 84-96 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE VACATION OF SURPLUS CITY RIGHT-OF-IVAY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF WEST 19TH STREET, WEST OF HARBOR BOULEVARD. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa did, on the 18th day of June, 1984, pass and adopt Resolution No. 84-80, entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENI'ION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF SURPLUS CITY RIGHT -OF -JAY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF 19TH STREET, WEST OF HARBOR BOULEVARD"; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said Resolution of Intention, the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vaca- tion was set for Monday, the 16th day of July, 1984, at the hour of 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California; and WHEREAS, notices of said proposed vacation were duly and regularly posted as required by law, all pursuant to the provisions of Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, said date of hearing coming on regularly to be heard, all persons appearing on the proposed vacation were heard, and said hearing was closed on the 16th day of July, 1984; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds and deter- mines, from all the evidence submitted, that the hereinafter described right-of-way is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the hereinafter described right-of-way is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes. 2. It is hereby ordered that the following described right-of-way be, and the same is hereby vacated: A portion of Lot 1 of Tract No. 325 as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 14, Page 42 of Miscellaneous Maps and Records of Orange County, California, described as: That portion of Lot 1 above described, beginning at the inter- section of the centerline of Harbor Boulevard and 19th Street, thence northerly along the centerline of Harbor Boulevard a distance of 50.00 feet to a point on the centerline of Harbor Boulevard, thence westerly parallel to and 50.00 feet northerly of the centerline of 19th Street a distance of 77.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, thence westerly parallel to the center- line of 19th Street a distance of 106.40 feet, thence southerly parallel to the centerline of Harbor Boulevard a distance of 10.00 feet thence easterly parallel to and 40.00 feet from the centerline of 19th Street a distance of 96.40 feet, thence northeasterly to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING. RESERVING therefrom an easement for all existing underground and overhead public utilities together with the right of ingress and egress for the purpose of maintaining, replacing, and upgrading said existing public utilities. All as more particularly shown on a map attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof.
