HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-80 - Intention to Order Vacation - North side of W. 19th Street, West of Harbor BoulevardRESOLUTION NO. 84-80 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF SURPLUS CITY RIGHT-OF- WAY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF WEST 19TH STREET, WEST OF HARBOR BOULEVARD. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate surplus City right-of-way located on the north side of West 19th Street, west of Harbor Boulevard, described as follows: A portion of Lot 1 of Tract No. 325 as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 14, Page 42 of Miscellaneous Maps and Records of Orange County, California, described as: That portion of Lot 1 above described, beginning at the inter- section of the centerline of Harbor Boulevard and 19th Street, thence northerly along the centerline of Harbor Boulevard a distance of 50.00 feet to a point on the centerline of Harbor Boulevard, thence westerly parallel to and 50.00 feet northerly of the centerline of 19th Street a distance of 77.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, thence westerly parallel to the center- line of 19th Street a distance of 106.40 feet, thence southerly parallel to the centerline of Harbor Boulevard a distance of 10.00 feet thence easterly parallel to and 40.00 feet frau the centerline of 19th Street a distance of 96.40 feet, thence northeasterly to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING. RESERVING therefran an easement for all existing underground and overhead public utilities together with the right of ingress and egress for the purpose of maintaining, replacing, and upgrading said existing public utilities. SECTION 2. Monday, the 16th day of July, 1984, at the hour of 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the provisions of Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously posted along said strips of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of June, 1984.
