HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-20 - Parking Prohibition on Baker StreetRESOLUTION NO. 86-20 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING PARKING ON A PORTION OF BAKER STREET. WHEREAS, the Costa Mesa Traffic Ccmmission has reccomended to this City Council that parking be prohibited at all times along the southerly curb of Baker Street beginning at Milbro Street easterly to the east end of the Route 73 overpass, and along the northerly curb of Baker Street beginning at Bear Street easterly to 149 feet west of Jeffrey Drive; and WHEREAS, Section 10-213 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa provides for the designation of no -parking areas by resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that the parking prohibition be authorized as recommended by the Costa Mesa Traffic Commission; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that parking be, and the same is hereby prohibited at all times along the southerly curb of Baker Street beginning at Milbro Street easter- ly to the east end of the Route 73 overpass, and along the northerly curb of Baker Street beginning at Bear Street easterly to 149 feet west of Jeffrey Drive.
