HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-01 - Rates of Pay for Employees under Basic Pay ScheduleRESOLUTION NO. 87-1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING RATES OF PAY FOR CLASSIFICATIONS AND EMPLOYEES PLACED UNDER THE BASIC PAY SCHEDULE. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve, deter- mine, and order as follows: SECTION 1. The following job classifications are hereby established and placed under the Basic Pay Schedule at the pay ranges and monthly rates of pay specified effective January 4, 1987. The monthly rate of pay may also be in two and one-half percent (2.5%) increments between the monthly minimum and maximum pay step. No. Bud. Pos. Motorcycle Assignment --applicable only to employees in the classifi- cations of Police Officer, Senior Police Officer, and Police Sergeant when so assigned to motorcycle duty; 5% over assigned rate per shift. Pilot Proficiency Differential --applicable only to Police Department classifications assigned to helicopter pilot duty; 10 pay ranges (12-1/2%) over assigned rate. Uniform Assignment --applicable only to employees in the classifica- tions of Police Officer, Senior Police Officer, Police Sergeant, and Police Lieutenant, when performing a uniform assignment in the Uniform Division of the Police Department; 2.5% over assigned rate. SECTION 3. The City will pay the employee's 9% retirement cost as pro- vided in Section 8.1 of the Retirement Plan for Safety Employees of the City of Costa Mesa for the job classifications specified in Section 1.
