HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-28 - Designating Portion of Arlington Drive as Public StreetRecorded 5-11-87 Document No. 87-264377 RESOLUTION NO. 87-28 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING A PORTION OF ARLINGTON DRIVE AS A PUBLIC STREET FOR ALL PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds and deter- mines that it is in the best interest of the public that the City designate and fix the location for a certain public street over a certain portion of Arlington Drive; and WHEREAS, that portion of Arlington Drive is presently owned by the City of Costa Mesa and is currently used, or proposed to be used, as a public street; arra DIDEREAS, the legal description for the area to be designated as said public street and a map showing the same is contained in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. The said property is hereby designated as a public street for all purposes. 2. The City Engineer is directed to make the necessary changes on all City documents to show this area as a public street and to notify all other pertinent governmental agencies of such changes. (ya" Ci y Clerk and ex -officio Clerk the City Council of the City of Cos Mesa ARLINGTON DRIVE LEGAL DESCRIPTION Those portions of Lots 11 and 12 of the Berry Rancho Tract as shown on a map recorded in Book 91 Page 7 of the Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, more particularly described as follows: Parcel 1: Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Fairview Road with the Westerly prolongation of the South line of said Lot 11 as it is shown on a Record of Survey filed in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, in Book 34, Page 46 of the Record of Surveys; thence Easterly 2470.50 feet along said South line and the Westerly prolongation thereof to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence leaving said South line at right angles Northerly 40.00 feet along a line radial to the beginning of a curve, concave Northerly, and having a radius of 2460.00 feet; thence Easterly and Northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 2026100" an arc distance of 104.48 feet; thence North 87034100" East 200.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave Southerly, and having a radius of 2540.00 feet; thence Northeasterly and Easterly along said tangent curve through a central angle of 2026,00" an arc distance of 107.87 feet to a point of tangency with a line parallel and 53.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, to the South lines of said Lots 11 and 12; thence Easterly 925.68 feet along said parallel line to a point on a line parallel and 1337.78 feet Easterly, measured at right angles, to said radial line to the beginning of said 2460.00 foot radius curve; thence Southerly 53.00 feet along last said parallel line to a point on the South line of said Lot 12, hereinafter referred to as "Point A"; thence Westerly 1337.78 feet along said South lines of said Lots 12 and 11 to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING. Parcel 2: A strip of land 55.00 feet in width, the North line of which is described as follows: Beginning at "Point All as established in Parcel 1; thence Northerly 55.00 feet along a line parallel and 1337.78 feet Easterly, measured at right angles, from a radial line to the beginning of a 2460.00 foot radius curve, as it is described in Parcel 1, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence Easterly 967.82± feet along a line parallel and 55.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, to the South line of said lot 12 to the Northwesterly line of that certain parcel of land transferred to the State of California by Agreement recorded in Book 5982, Pages 815-821 of Official Records, filed in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County. Excepting therefrom everything lying Southesterly of last said Northwesterly line. Parcel 3: That portion lying Southeasterly of the following described line: Beginning at "Point All as established in Parcel 1; thence Northerly 55.00 feet along a line parallel and 1337.78 feet Easterly, measured at right angles, from a radial line to the beginning of a 2460.00 foot radius curve as it is described in Parcel 1; thence Easterly 904.21+ feet along a line parallel and 55.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, to the South line of said Lot 12 to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence North 61040154" East 115.32± feet to a point on the Northwesterly line of that certain parcel of land transferred to the State of California by Agreement recorded in Book 5982, Pages 815-821 of Official Records, filed in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County. t FA/RV/EW I DR.
