A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING, BEA AMBURGEY
ON BEING CHOSEN WOMPN THE YEAR IN RECOGNITION OF
OUTSTANDIN3 COMMUNITY SERVICE.
ViiEREAS, the Man and Woman of the Year Awards Program was established
in 1970 by the Costa Mesa Chanber of Commerce to give recognition to out-
standing residents of the community who have been involved in broad areas
of civic service; and
WHEREAS, Bea Pirburgey was born in Orange and graduated from Mater Dei
High School; and
WHEREAS, Bea, wtio is the wife of Vice Mayor Orville Anburgey, is a
fifth -generation Californian and she and her husband have three children:
Ron, Pam, and Rick; and
WHEREAS, some of the organizations Bea has been irvolved with are:
The Costa Mesa Junior Women's Club, St. John the Baptist School Auxiliary,
the Costa Mesa -Newport Lions Club, the Lioness Club, Share Ourselves, Cub
Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the Mesa Verde School PTA;
NCW, THEREFORE, f3E TT REJOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa that Bea Amburgey is hereby congratulated and recognized for
her participation in local activities and cutstarding dedication to her
community.
