HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-72 - Intent to Order Vacation of R-O-W at 2419 Elden AvenueRESOLUTION NO. 87-72 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY AT 2419 ELDEN AVENUE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOFE : SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate a portion of public right-of-way at 2419 Elden Avenue, more particularly described as follows: That portion of the northeasterly 50.00 feet of Wt 52, Tract No. 300, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 14, Pages 11 and 12 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, State of California, lying within a strip of land 30.00 feet in width, the southeasterly line of which is the center line of Elden Avenue. RESERVING therefran a surface easement for pedestrian arra appurtenant purposes. ALSO RESERVING therefran an easement for all existing underground and overhead public utilities together with the right of ingress and egress fnr the purpose of maintaining, replacing, and upgrading said existing public utilities. SECTION 2. Monday, the 17th day of August, 1987, at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the provisions of Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously posted along said strips of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not rmre than three hundred ( 300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
