HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-76 - Basic Pay Schedule Rates of Pay - Police ClassificationsRESOLUTION NO. 87-76 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING RATES OF PAY FOR. CLASSIFICATIONS AND EMPLOYEES PLACED UNDER THE BASIC PAY SCHEDULE. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve, deter- mine, and order as follows: SECTION 1. The following job classifications are hereby established and placed under the Basic Pay Schedule at the pay ranges and monthly rates of pay specified effective July 5, 1987. The monthly rate of pay may also be in two and one-half percent (2.5%) increments between the monthly mini- mum arra maximum pay step. No. Bud. Pos. Motorcycle Assignment --applicable only to employees in the classifica- tions of Police Officer, Senior Police Officer, and Police Sergeant when sJ assigned to motorcycle duty; 5% over assigned rate per shift. Uniform Assignment -applicable only to employees in the classifica- tions of Senior Police Officer, Police Sergeant and Police Lieutenant, when permanently assigned to perform a uniform patrol assignment in the Uniform Division of the Police Department; 2.5% over assigned rate. Police Officers currently receiving uniform assignment pay are eligible to continue to receive this compensation until reassigned. SECTION 3. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict here- with are hereby rescinded. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of July, 1987.
