RESOLUTION NO. 89-15
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING THE ENDEAVORS
OF THE CHILD CARE COMMITTEE TO MEET THEIR GOALS.
WHEREAS, California cities today face many challenging problems, among
which is the issue of child care; and
WHEREAS, 15 percent of the City of Costa Mesa's population is made up
of children; and
WHEREAS, we believe our children are our most precious resource and
the key to the future; and
WHEREAS, the Costa Mesa Child Care Committee was appointed by the City
Council in recognition of this belief;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council supports the Child
Care Carvittee in its endeavors to meet the following goals established by
the City Council:
- To recognize and provide support for the child care network for the
education coalition of child care providers in the City;
- To address the needs of low -to -moderate income parents;
- To create mechanisms for encouraging the development of infant and
toddler care.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of February, 1989.
