That Embeco 885 Grout:
- is a specially prepared, ready-to-use, noncatalyzed, metallic-
aggregate Containing nonshrink grout; and
- although having a different formulation, can be used in place of,
or substituted for Embeco 636 Grout;
- has extended workability and greater compressive strengths than
Embeco 636 Grout, i. e. , working time: 45-60 minutes for Embeco 885
Grout vs. 10-20 minutes for Embeco 636 Grout; typical compressive
strengths at 3, 7 and 28 days: 4 ,000; 6, 000; and 6 , 000 psi for
Eabeco 885 Grout vs. 3, 000; 5, 000; and 7, 000 psi for Embeco 636
Grout)
- has improved placing characteristics which allow placement at 40°F
to 100°F, whereas the recommended placing temperature range for
Embeco 636 Grout is 45°F to 70°F;
- meets, as does Embeco 636 Grout, the requirements of the Corps of
Engineers ' Specification for Nonshrink Grout, CRD-C 621-80, -81,
-82 , -B2A, -828, -83, -88 , and -89 .
