Fabrication and erection of structural steel shall be in accordance with "specification for the
design, fabrication and erection of structural steei for buildings", AISC, current edition, Steel to
conform ASTM-36; pipe columns shall conform to ASTM A53, Grade B.
2. All welding shall be pertormed by certified welders, using the Electric Shielded Arc. Process at
licensed shops or otherwise approved by the Building Department. Continuous inspection
required for atl field welding.
3. All steel exposed to weather shali be hot-dip galvanized after fabrication or other app�o�ed
weather proofing method.
4. Where finish fs attached to structural steel provide 112" bolt holes at 4'-0" O.C. for attachment of
nailers. See architectural drawings for £nishes (Nelson studs 112 x 3" CPL may be used to
replace bolts).
