The California Administrative Code, Title 25, Chapter 1,
Sub-chapter 1, adopted February 22, 1974 , under Noise
Insulation Standards is as follows :
Penetrations or openings in construction assemblies
for piping, electrical devices , recessed cabinets,
bathtubs , soffits , or heating, ventilating or
exhaust ducts shall be sealed, .lined, insulated
or otherwise treated to maintain the required
ratings.
We have examined the plumbing installation and find that the
pipes in the party wall have been isolated from the frame
of the wall so that the plumbing does not detract from the
STC rating of the wall as required by the City of Costa Mesa
and the C, ifornia Administrative Code.
