There are two exhaust systems serving buildings processing aurf
boards at this property. Only one permit for such syatem was
issued. This was permit #BME34817 issued Auguet 9, 1988. Thie
pezzait expired due to incomplete inapections. Therefore, the work
authorized by this permit wae never approved. It will be necessary
to obtain the necessary permit for the second exhaust eystem and
renew the permit which has expired. Applicatiens for permits shall
be submitted to the Suilding.ar,d Safety c�unter on the second flcor
of the Costa Mesa City Hall at 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa. After
issuance, it will be necessary to schedule the necessary

As we` discussed, the Nationa7. Eiectrical Code, Section 400-8,
prohibits the use of flexible cord and cable wiring as a substit�ite
for fixed wiring. Cord wiring has been used ihroughout the
property in place of permanent wiring. Please have all such wiring
removed and permanent wiring installed where necessary. �lectrical
permits and inspections are necessary for such wiring.
Also, as we discussed, your tenante constructed roof eheltere for
their stored boats. If the shelter ia supparted from the ground,
it ie necessary to obtain a building permi.t before the st.ructuxe is
built. If the structure is completely supported by the boat, a
builning permit will not be required. However, this does no�
constitute permission to violate any City Land Use Zoning
regulations. We suggesc you consult with the City Planning
Division staff concerning the boat shelters. The Planning Division
phone number is 754-5245. ,
At r_he time of our last visit there was one bui].ding on the west
side of the property we were unable to inspect because it was
locked. We understoed you would gain access to the building and
