The Building Department of Costa Mesa and the Orange
County Health Department often receive requests to investigate
conditions that prove to be unsanitary.
Investigation was made of the premises owned or
controlled by you, and it was noted that the cesspool or septic
tank indicated that there was a failure of that sewage disposal
system.
Pub7.ic sewer disposal is now available to all property
owners, and when there is a failure of cesspools or septic
tanks it is mandatory to connect to the public sewer system,
Sections 182-183-184 and 185 of the Costa Mesa Plumbing Code,
Permits are required for all plumbing and sewer work
and are obtainable at the Costa Mesa Building Department,
