SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
CITY OF COSTA MESA
OCTOBER 16, 2002
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, met in special
session on October 16, 2002, at 7:36 p.m., in Conference Room 1-A
of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa. Notice of the special meeting
was given as required by law. The meeting was called to order by
Mayor Dixon.

COMMUNICATIONS Street, Suite 280,_\Costa Mesa,- representing Jerry Scheer, City
Petersen Comments Attorney, addressed the.City Council calling attention to the item listed
on the agenda which did not fist his client's name. He stated that his
client has not received notice regarding allegations of misconduct nor
any complaints that have to do with his performance; therefore, the
meeting could not be about such matters. He commented that he did
not know the nature of the meeting but wanted to assure that it was
not about matters adverse to his client.
Adjourned to Closed The Mayor adjourned to the closed session at 7:40 p.m.
Session
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957, a closed session of the
Costa Mesa City Council regarding a public employee release was
held.
No Action Taken The Mayor reconvened the meeting at 9:05 p.m., and announced that
no action was taken at the closed session.
ADJOURNMENT The Mayor declared the meetingadjo rued at 9:10 p.m.
