HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-52 - Year 2001 Local Law Enforcement Block Grant AllocationRESOLUTION NO. n I - 6',,,l — A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR, AND ACCEPTANCE OF YEAR 2001 LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT ALLOCATION. WHEREAS, the United States Department of Justice has made funds available through the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program for the purchase of equipment, technology, and other materials directly related to basic law enforcement functions; and WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa wishes to participate in the Local Law Enforcement Block Program for the Year 2001 by applying for and accepting an allocation of such funds; and WHEREAS, an allocation is available to the City of Costa Mesa in the sum of $86,706.00 in Local Law Enforcement Block Grant funds for the Year 2001; and WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa agrees to provide matching funds in the amount of $9,634.00 as required under this program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa hereby approves the application for and acceptance of a grant of funds under the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program and the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to implement this authorization.
