Originally when we pulled this permit along with our permits for our kitchen remodel, we had anticipated doing all of the work at the same time. Unfortunately, we hatl financial issues beyond our control that forced the delay of the kitchen remodel until May. We have initiated that project and it is well underway; inspections for rough in plumbing were conducted last week, and electrical rough in inspections should occur sometime this week. In addition, during this period of time, my wife became pregnant with twins and we have had significant medical issues that delayed fhe commencement of our construction projects. In order to re-roof, we must relocate an unsightly gas line that runs across of roof which was cOnstructed many years ago by a previous owner. This work should be completed in the next few weeks. We anticipate the roofing work to begin in the next 90 days, depending on the delivery of our first children. My wife is due in August so our hope would be to complete the project before then. If that is not possible, we most likely could not commence the project until October or November. Therefore I would like to request that PERMIT 606-02077 be extended until December 12, 2007. Along with the re-roof we anticipate additional work to improve the look of our residence from the public street and address years of neglect by the previous owners.
