A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT GP -02-01 FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 854 WEST 19TH STREET THROUGH 1014 WEST 19TH STREET (EVEN NUMBERED PROPERTIES ONLY) AND 1903 FEDERAL AVENUE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:` WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa initiated General Plan Amendment GP -02- 01 with the intent of removing the West 19th Street Transition Area designation from the Land Use Map of the 2000 General Plan, with respect to the real properties located at 854 West 19th Street through 1014 West 19th Street (even numbered properties only) and 1903 Federal Avenue; and WHEREAS, duly noticed public hearings were held by the Planning Commission on March 11 and April 8, 2002, and by the City Council on May 6, May 20, and June 3, 2002; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. PC -02-09 on April 8, 2002, recommending approval of General Plan Amendment GP -02-01; and WHEREAS, the project has been reviewed for compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the CEQA Guidelines, and the City environmental procedures, and an Initial Study/Negative Declaration was prepared and available for public review from February 20 through March 11, 2002; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby adopt the Negative Declaration for the proposed project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that City Council does hereby approve General Plan Amendment GP -02-01, which amends the Land Use Map of the 2000 General Plan as set forth in Exhibit A attached to this resolution, with respect to the properties described above.
