After the visit on June 29, 2007, Build?ng 10 appearod to be in substantial conformance with the cast-in-place
hoiddown requirements of [he Structural Pians.
Ihis office made several sice visits on Ottober 23, 2007, October 29, 2007, and Octvber 31, 2007 to observe rough
framing for the above mentioned building for conformance to tha swcmral plans. Deficient icems, (some were quite
minor), were discussed with either Tony Ramos with Westem Nadonal Consnvccion or TWR's Framing Foreman.
The rough framing, after our lavt visit on Oetober 31, 2007, had these defieient items corrected, and appeared ro be
in substantial confortnance with the s�uctural plens.
These observations are incended only to assise che framing contractor in conformance with the structural plans es they
relate to this residentlal apartment project and are not to be wnstrued as "Speciel lnspeetions". The responability
for such plan aanfom�ence, of course, remains with the contractor. Please do not hesicate to contact me at my office

As requested, NMG Geotechnical, Inc. (NMG) has prepazed this document to present the
results of our geotechnical observation and testing during the precise and post grading
operations, and our special inspection services at the subject site. Representatives of NMG
provided geotechnical observation and/or testing during the precise and post grading operations
at the site. Our services during grading activities included observation and testing during utility
line trenches backfill, footing excavations, and hardscape subgrade preparations. In addition,
NMG has performed special inspection services including structural concrete reinforcement;
structural concrete placement; stressing of post-tension cables; welding; hazdware epoxy fix; and
concrete compressive strength testing. Based on our observation and testing, the above
improvements weze performed in compliance with our recommendation, project specification,
and the requirements of the City of Costa Mesa. Details of our observation and testing,
including field density test results and locations will be provided in sepazate reports.
