Furthermore we authorize petmits F07-00174 through F07-00224 to be transfetred to Residential Fire, the new fire
sprinkier contractor for the Enclave project_
It is my understanding that Residential Fire will ha��e their own fire sprinkler plans approved and the permits �vill now
be issued under lheir contractor's license and Baker Company will be completely removed from any connection or

As requested, NMG Geotechnical, Inc. (NMG) has prepared this doeument to present the
results of our geotechnical observation and testing during the precise and post grading
operations, and our special inspection services at the subject site. Representatives of NMG
provided geotechnical observation and/or testing during the precise and post grading operations
at the site. Our services during grading activities included observation and testing during utility
line trenches backfill, footing excavations, and hardscape subgrade preparations. In addition,
NMG has perFormed special inspection services including structural concrete. reinforcement;
structural concrete placement; stressing of post-tension cables; welding; hazdwaze epoxy fix; arid
concrete compressive strength testing. Based on our observation and testing, the above
- improvements were performed in compliance with our recommendation, project specification,
and the requirements of the City of Costa Mesa. Details of our observation and testing,
including field density test results and locations will be provided in separate reports.

visit on lune 28, 2007 was to observe the placement of the various holddown hardware prior to the conttete pour.
Building 9 w�s obsecved during this visit. Minor i[oms, sueh as holddowns witliout reinforcing within their sheaz
coaes and minimum rebsr el¢aranee, were brought w the attention of ehe concrete foreman end were eorrected during
the pre-stab visit.
AtLer the visit on June 28, 2007, Auilding 9 appeared [o be in substantial conformance with the easo-in-piaee
holddown requiremenu ofthe Struct�rat Plans.
This office made several site visits on October 23, 2007, October 24, 2007, and October 29, 2007 to observe rough
framing fo* the dbove menrioned buildiog for conformance to the shuctural plans. Deficient items, (some were quite
minor), were diseussed with either Tony Ramos with Western National CanstrucHon or TWR's Framing Foreman.
The rough framing, after our last visit on October 29, 2007, had these daficiens items wrrected, and sppeared w be
in substantial conformancc wich the structural plans.
These observarions are intended only to assist the framing eontractor in conformance with the strucrural plans as they
relate to this residential apartment project and ere not to be construed ae "Special Inspections". The responsibiliry
for such plan conformance, of eourse, zemains with the contractcrc. Please do not hesitate to contact me at my office
