Dear Silvia:
This letter shall serve as confuination that Baker Company has withdrawn as the fire sprinkler contractor for the
Enelave project previously approved and permitted under otu license numba.
Furthermare we authorize pem�its F07-00174 Qvough F07-00224 to be transferred to Residential Fire, the new fire
sprinkler canttactor for the Enclave project.
It is my understending that Residential Fire will ha�re their own fire sprinkler plans approved and the permits �vill now
be issued under their conkactor's license and Baker Company will be completely removed from any commection or
liability with this project. No work has been preformed by Baket Company under these pecmits.

Dear Mr. Crosby:
Pursuant to your request, this office has made several site visits to the above described project. The pwpose of the
visit on July 17, 2007 was to observe the placement of the various holddown hardware prior to the concrete pour.
Building 40 was observed during this visit. Minor items, such as holddowns without reinforcing wi[hin their shear
cones and minimum rebar clearance, were brought to the attention of the concrete foreman and were corrected during
the pre-slab visit.
After the visit on July 17, 2007, Building 40 appeared [o be in substantial conformance with the cast-in-place
holddown requirements of the Structural Pians.
This office made site visits on February 8, 2008 and February 12, 2008, to observe rough framing for the above
mentioned building for substantial conformance to the structural plans. Deficient items, (some were quite minor),
were discussed with either Tony Ramos with Westem National Construc[ion or TWR's Framing Foreman.
The rough framing, after our last visit on February 12, 2008, had these deficient items corrected, and appeared to be
in substan[ial conformance with the sWctural plans.
These observations are intended only to assist tt�e framing contractor in confortnance with [he sWchual plans as they
relate to this residential aparVnent project and are not to be constrved as "Special Inspections". The responsibility
for such plan conformanee, of cou�se, remains with the contractor. Please do not hesitate to contact me at my office

results of our geotechnical observation and testing during the precise and post grading
operations, and our special inspection services at the subject site. Our services during grading
activities included observation and testiug during utility line trench backfiil, footing excavations,
and hardscape subgrade prepazations. In addition, NMG has performed special inspection
services, including structural concrete reinforcemenh, structural concrete placement; stressing of
post-tension cables; welding; hardware epoxy fix; and concrete compressive strength testing.
Dased on our observation and testing, the above improvements were performed in substantial
compliance with our recommendation, project specification, and the requirements of the City of
Costa Mesa. Details of our observation and testing, including field density test results and
locations will be provided in separate reports.
