Pursuant to your request, this office has made several site visits to the above described project. The purpose of the
visit on August b, 2007 was to observe the placement of the various holddown hazdware prior to the concrete povr.
Building 44 was observed during this visit Deficient items, some quite minor; were brought to the attention of the
concrete foremaq and were corrected during the pre-siab visit and Building 44 appeazed to be in substanfial
conformance with struc[ival drawings.
This office made a site visit on February 21, 2008 and February 16, 2008, to observe rough framing.for the above
menHoned building for subslanHal conformance to the slruchual plans. Deficieut items, some were quite minot, were
discussed.with either Tony Ramos with Westem Na6onal Constructioa or T'WR's Fiaming Foremaa. Observed
deficient items were corrected and the rough framing appeared to be in substaadal conformance with the shuctural
drawings by the time oiu visits were complete.
These observations aze intended only to assist the fi-aming contractor in conformance with the structural plans as they
relate to this residential aparhnent project and are not to be construed as "Special Inspections". The responsibility

results of our geotechnical observation and testing during the precise and post grading
operations, and our special inspection services at the subject site. Our services during grading
activities included observation and testing during utility line trench backfill, footing excavations,
and hardscape subgrade prepazations. In addition, NMG has performed special inspection
services, inciuding structural concrete reinforcement; structural concrete placement; stressing of
post-tension cables; welding; hardware epoxy fix; and concrete compressive strength testing.
Based on our observation and testing, the above improvements were performed in substantial
compliance with our recommendation, project specification, and the requirements of the City of
Costa Mesa. Details of our observation and testing, including field density test results and
