Pursuant to your request, this office has made several site visits ro the above described project. The purpose of the
visit on Aagast 2, 2007 was to observe the placement of tlie various holddown 6ardwaze prior to the concrete pour.
Building 38 was observed during tIus visit. Deficient items, some quite minor, were brought to the aitenrion of the
concrete foreman and were corrected during tlie pre-slab visit and Building 38 appeazed to be in substantial
conformance with structural drawings.
This office made a site visit on February 5, 2008 and February 15, 2008, to observe rough framing for the above
menrioned building for substanfial oonformance to the structural plans. DeScient items, some were quite minor, were
discussed with either Tony Ramos with Westem Narional Construction or TWR's Framing Foreman. Observed
deficient items were conected and the rough framing appeazed to be in substantial conformance wiih the structural
drawings by the time oiu visiu were complete.
These observarions are inteuded only to assist the framing contractor in confoimance with the slructural plans as they
relate to this residenrial apartment project and aze not to be construed as "Special Inspections". The responsibility
for such plan conformance, of coucse, remains with the contrac[or. Please do not hesitate to contact me at my office

As requested, NM6 Geotechnical, Inc. (NMG) has prepared this document to present the
results of our geotechnical observation and testing during the precise and post grading
operations, and our special inspection services at the subject site. Our services during grading
activities included observation and testing during utility line h�ench backfill, footing excavations,
and hardscape subgrade preparations. In addition, NMG has performed special inspection
services, including structural concrete reinforcement; stnzcturai concrete placement; stressing of
post-tension cables; welding; hardware epoxy fix; and concrete compressive strength testing.
Based on our observation and testing, the above improvements were performed in substantial
compliance with our recommendation, project specification, and the requirements of the City of
Costa Mesa. Details of our observation and testing, including field density test results and
locations will be provided in separate reports.
