Pursuant to your request, ttils office has made several site visits to the above described project. The purpose oF the
visit on August 14, 2007 was to observe the placement of the various holddown hazdware prior to the concrete pour.
Building 27 was observed during this visit. Deficient items, some quite minor; were brought to the attention of the
concrete foreman and were corrected during the pre-slab visit and Building 27 appeazed to be in substantial
conformance with struchval drawings.
"I7�is office made a site visit on December Z0, 2007 and December 21, 2007, to observe rough framing for the
above mentioned building for substantial conformance to. the slructural plans. DeScient items, some were quite
minor, were discussed with either Tony Ramos with Westem National Construction or TWR's Framing Foreman.
Observed deficient items were corrected and the rough framing appeazed to be in substantial confonnance with the
stnictiaal drawings by the time our visits were complete.
These observations are intended only to assist the framing conuactor in conformance with the structural plaus as they
relate to this residential apartment project and are not to be cons�ued as "Special Inspections". The responsibiliry
for such plan conformance, of course; remains with the contractor. Please do not hesitate to contact me at my office

As requested, NMG Geotechnical, Inc. WMG) has prepared this document to present the
results of our geotechnical observation and testing during the precise and post grading
operations, and our special inspection services at the subject site. Our services during grading
activities included observation and testing dudng utility line trench backfill, footing excavations,
and hardscape subgrade preparations. In addition, NMG has performed special inspection
services, including structural concrete reinforcement; structural concrete placement; stressing of
post-tension cables; welding; hardware epoxy fix; and concrete compressive strength testing.
Based on our observation and testing, the above improvements were performed in substantial
compliance with our recommendation, project specification, and the requirements of the City of
Costa Mesa. Details of our observation and testing, including field density test results and
locations will be provided in sepazate reports.

Tius office made a site visit on December I8, 2007 and December 20, 2007, to observe rough framing for the
above menrioned buildiug for substantial conformance to the structural plans. Deficient items, some were quite
minor, were discussed with either Tony Ramos with Westem National Construction or TWR's Framing Foreman.
Observed deficient items were corrected and the rough framing appeared to be in substanual conformance with the
s�uctural drawings by the time our visits were complete.
These observations aze intended only to assist the fiaming conhactor in conformance with the struchual plans as they
relate to this residenrial aparhnent project and aze not to be conslrued as "Special Inspections". 1'he responsibility

As requested, NMG Geotechnical, Inc. WMG) has prepared this document to present the
results of our geotechnical observation and testing during the precise and post grading
operations, and our special inspection services at the subject site. Our services during grading
activities included observation and testing during utility line trench backfill, footing excavations,
and hardscape subgrade preparations. [n addition, NMG has performed special inspection
services, including structural concrete reinforcement; structural concrete placement; stressing of
post-tension cables; welding; hardware epoxy fix; and concrete compressive strength testing.
Based on our observation and testing, the above improvements were performed in substantial
compliance with our recommendation, project specification, and the requirements of the City of
Costa Mesa. Details of our observation and testing, including field density test results and
locations will be provided in separate reports.
