Pursuant to your request, tLis office has made several site visiu to the above described project. The pucpose of the
visits on July 3Q 2007 and August 2, 2007 was to observe the placement of the various holddown hardwaze prior to
the concrete pow. Building 24 was observed during this visit. Deficient items; some quite minor, were brought to
the attention of the concrete foreman and were corrected during the pre-slab visit and Building 24 appeared to be in
substantial conformance with suuctural drawings.
T'his office made a site visit on December 11, 2007 and December 13, 2007, to observe rough framing for the
above mentioned building for substantial conformance to the structural plans. Deficient items, some were quite
minor, were discussed with either Tony Ramos with Western Narional Construction or TWR's Framing Foreman.
Observed deScient items were corrected and the rough framing appeazed to be in substanrial conformance with the
siructural drawings by the time our visits were complete.
These observarions aze intended only to assist the framing coniractor in conformance with the struct�sal plans as they
relate to this residenfial aparhnent project and aze not to be construed as "Special Inspections". The responsibility
for such plan conformance; of cowse, remains with the contractor. Please do not hesitate to contact me at my office

As requested, NMG Geotechnical, Inc. WMG) has prepared this document to present the
results of our geotechnical observation and testing during the precise and post grading
operations, and our special inspection services at the subject site. Our services during grading
activities included observation and testing during utility line trench backfill, footing excavations,
and hardscape subgrade preparations. In addition, NMG has performed special inspection
services, including structural concrete reinforcement; structural concrete placement; stressing of
posbtension cables; welding; hardware epoxy fix; and concrete compressive strength testing.
Based on our observation and testing, the above improvements were performed in substantial
compliance with our recommendation, project specification, and the requirements of the City of
Costa Mesa. Details of our observation and testing, including field density test results and
locations will be provided in separate reports.
