Pursuant to your request, Uiis office has made several site visits to t6e above described project. The piu�pose of the
visit on August b, 2007 was to observe the placement of the various holddown hardware prior ro the concrete pour.
Building 25 was observed during this visit. Deficient items, some quite minor, were brought to the attention of the
wncrete foreman and were corrected during the pre-slab visit and Building 25 appeazed to be in subshential
conformance with stcuctural drawings.
This office mada a site visit on December 13, 2007 and December 18, 2007, to observe rough framing for the
above mentioned building for substantial conformance to the shuctural plaas. Deficient items, some were quite
minor, were discussed with either Touy Ramos with Western National Constructiou or TWR's Framing Foreman.
Observed deficieht items were corrected and the rough framing appeazed to be in substantial conformance with the
struchual drawings by the time our visits were complete.
T'hese observations aze intended only to assist the &aming contractor in conformance with the shvctural plans as they
relate to this residential aparmient project and aze not to be wnstrued as "Special Inspections". The responsibility
for such plan conformance, of co�sse, remains with the contractor. Please do not hesitate to contact me at my office

As requested, NMG Geotechnical, Inc. WMG) has prepared this doeument to present the
results of our geotechnical observation and testing during the precise a�d post grading
operations, and our special inspection services at the subject site. Our services during grading
activities included observation and testing during utility line trench backfiil, footing excavations,
and hardscape subgrade preparations. In addition, NMG has performed special inspection
services, including structural concrete reinforcement; structural concrete placement; stressing of
post-tension cables; welding; hardware epoxy fix; and concrete compressive strength testing.
Based on our observation and testing, the above improvements were performed in substantial
compliance with our recommendation, project specification, and the requirements of the City of
Costa Mesa. Details of our observation and testing, including field density test results and
locations will be provided in separate reports.
