Furthermore we authorize permits F07-00174 t}vough F07-00224 to be transferred to Residential Fire, the new fire
sprinkler cantractor for the Enclave project.
It is my understanding that R�sidential Firc will ha��c thcir oav fire sprinkler plans approved and the permits �vill now

Pursuant to your request, this offiee has made several site visits to the above described project. The purpose of this
visit on July 9, 2007 waz to observe the placement of the various holddowo hardware prior w the concrete pour.
Building 15 was observed during this visit. Minor ;cems, such as holddowns without reinforcing wittiin theit shear
wnes and minimum rebaz clearance, were brou�ht to the attenrion of the conerece foreman and were correctod during
the pre-slab vis;t. ,
After the visit on July 9, 2007, Building 15 appeared to be in substaniiel confortnanee with the cast•in•place
hoJddown requiremrnts ofthe Scructvral P1ans.
This office made several site visits on November 12, 2007 and November 1a, 2007, to observe rough framing for the
above mentioned building for conformance to the swetural plans. Aeficient items, (some werc quite minor), were
diacussed with eirher Tony Itamos wtth Westem National Construction or TWR's Framing Foremen.
The rough framing, after our last visit on November 14, 2007, had these deficient items cometed, and appeared W
be in substantial conformance with the structural plans.

As requested, NMG Geotechnical, Inc. (NMG) has prepared this document to present the
results of our geotechnical observation and testing during the precise and post grading
operations, and our special inspection services at the subject site. Representatives of NMG
provided geotechnical observation and/or testing during the precise and post grading operations
at the site. Our services during grading activities included observation and testing during utility
line trenches backfill, footing excavations, and hazdscape subgrade preparations. In addition,
NMG has performed special inspection services inciuding structural concrete reinforcement;
structural concrete placement; stressing of post-tension cables; welding; hazdware epoxy fix; and
concrete compressive strength testing: Based on our observation and testing, the above
- improvements were performed in compliance with our recommendation, project specification,
and the requirements of the City of Costa Mesa. Details of our observation and testing,
including field density test results and locaYions will be provided in separate reports.
