SUBJECT: Report of Completion - Timber Tnlss Inspection;
San Vista Project, Fair Drive and Fairview Road,
Tract 5160; Costa Mesa, California; Permits 22163-
22318.
Gentlemen:
We have completed the inspection of 1459 timber trusses to be used in
residential construction in the city of Costa Mesa. These trusses were
assembled by Trussco, Incorporated at their Westminster fabrication
yard during the period of July 14 through August 3, 1964. The certified
assembly plans used for construction were furnished by Trusswal Systems
West, Incorporated, Anaheim. Connections were made with 20 ga. galvanized
steel trus-tite plates and 6d nails.
Periodic inspection furnished by Porter, O'Brien & Armstrong during the
assembly operations included observation of the fabrication procedures
and inspection of bundled trusses ready for shipment. Workmanship
appeared quite satisfactory and poor trusses were identified and replaced.
The various units inspected prior to shipment are identified as:

were assembled according to plans furnished to us using lumber with
the stress grade equal to or greater than that specified. All trusses
were in good condition when inspected and stacked at the fabrication
yard prior to shipment.
