Additionally, cracked portions of the slab-on- grade were removed and replaced in accordance with the approved plans. Observation: Through the period of November 21 and November 29, sixteen pipe piles were installed to the bearing strata per the soils memo dated Nov. 29, 2005 by Alan Jessup, P.E.. The location & installation of the pipe piles were inspected by observer and were considered acceptable. The foundation was lifted so that there was less than 1 inch of deflection throughout the slab-on-grade. Once the foundation was lifted grouting beneath the lifted foundation and slab-on-grade areas were implemented in order to re contact the footings and slab areas with the existing soils. Cracked portions of the interior slab on grade were removed and replaced � perthe approved plans. In general, the work proceeded correctly and in accordance with the approved plans & specifications.
