SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
CITY OF COSTA MESA
September 19, 2014
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California met in a Special Closed Session, on
Friday, September 19, 2014 at 10:02 a.m. in Council Chambers, 77 Fair Drive, Costa
Mesa.
Council Member Leece called the meeting to order.
ROLL CALL:
Council Members Present: Council Member Sandra Genis
Council Member Wendy Leece
Council Member Gary Monahan
Council Members Absent: Mayor James M. Righeimer
Mayor Pro Tem Stephen M. Mensinger
PUBLIC COMMENTS:
None
Discussion ensued regarding starting the negotiations right away or waiting until after
November 4, 2014.
CLOSED SESSION
Conference with Thomas R. Hatch, Chief Executive Officer, and Labor Negotiator, Agency
Negotiator regarding Employee Organization: Costa Mesa Police Officers Association
(CMPOA), Costa Mesa Police Management Association (CMPMA), pursuant to Government
Code Section 54957.6
The meeting was recessed to Conference Room 5A for the closed session at 10:11 a.m.
The City Attorney stated there was no reportable action.
ADJOURNMENT
The special meeting adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
