HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-34 - Incorporating the City's Special Event Fees with Annual Fee ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 04-34 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, INCORPORATING THE CITY'S SPECIAL EVENT FEES WITH THE CITY'S ANNUAL FEE RESOLUTION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa has heretofore established, pursuant to Resolution No. 04-7, various schedules of rates, fees, and charges for services provided by the City including, but not limited to, rates, fees, and charges for the rental of facilities, building permits, public services, and public safety (the "Annual Fee Resolution'); and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa has also heretofore established, pursuant to Administrative Regulation 2.13, a separate schedule of rates, fees, and charges for special event city services provided by the City for special events including, but not limited to, rates, fees, and charges for police traffic control, public services and other city employee services required for such special events; and WHEREAS, in conjunction with the enactment of an amended special event ordinance, it has been determined that the Administrative Regulation should be repealed and the departmental fee schedule for special events be included with the Annual Fee Resolution for ease of reference; and WHEREAS, because this resolution merely consolidates the fees currently charged for special events with the Annual Fee Resolution and no new fees are being established at this time, it is not necessary to comply with the notice and hearing procedures set forth in Government Code Section 66016 at. seq. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: Section 1. Administrative Regulation 2.13 is hereby repealed. Section 2. Special Event Service Fees: 1. The Fees and Remuneration established by Administrative Regulation 2.13 and attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference, for City Services for Special Events are hereby incorporated in and shall become a part of, the City's Annual Fee Resolution and shall, subsequently be reviewed and updated at the same time, place and manner as the Citys other rates, fees and charges. Section 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of the Resolution. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17'' day of May, 2004. Police Service requests for more than four swom Police Officers will require one Sergeant and requests for more than three Sergeants will require one Lieutenant.
