As owner-builders, we are planning the construction of an addition to our house at 469 Abbie
Way under activity number B04-01566. We pulled our first permit (PSO4-00717) on 2
September 2005. However, the start of construcdon has been delayed beyond the usual 180-day
period for the following reasons:
• Delays in retaining subcontractors, due to the lazge amount of construction in the area. (We
have finally located some.)
• The contractors recommended waiting until after the rainy season, which runs through
March.
• Chronic illness of a member of our family, requiring frequent trips out of town for weeks at a
time.
We therefore must apply for a 180-day extension to the usual deadline for the first inspection.
While we aze planning to begin work the first week of April, it is possible that it will be delayed,
hence the request for the maximum 180-day extension.
