HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-06 Rezoning a Portion of Land Alloted to James McFaddenORDINANCE NO. 80-6 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, CHANGING THE ZONING OF A PORTION OF SECTION 36, TOWNSHIP 5 SOUTH, RANGE 10 WEST, IN )LAND ADLOTED TO JAMES MCFADDEN IN DECREE OF PARTITION OF THE RANCHO SANTIAGO DE SANTA ANA, FROM Al AND C2 TO PDC AND PDR -HD. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. There is hereby placed and included in the PDC and PDR -HD zones as designated, all that real property located southwest of the intersection of Sunflower Avenue and Main Street and northwest of the San Diego and Costa Mesa Freeways, 1979-80 Assessor Parcel Numbers 410-441-01, 410-441-02 410-441-03, and 410-441-04, to wit: From Al to PDR -HD That portion of Section 36, Township 5 south, range 10 west, in the land allotted to James McFadden in decree of partition of the Rancho Santiago De Santa Ana, recorded in Book "B" of judgements of the Seventeenth Judicial District Court of Los Angeles County, California, located in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the westerly line of the land described in the deed recorded in Book 2962, Page 223, official records of said Orange County, said point being on the centerline of Anton Boulevard as said centerline is shown on Parcel Map No. 79-385 filed in Book 137, Pages 5 and 6, of Parcel Maps, records of said Orange County; thence along said westerly line N 00 04' 54" E, 1448.31 feet to the southerly right-of-way line of Sun- flower Street, 50.00 feet wide, as said street is des- cribed in the deed recorded in Book 171, Page 94, of deeds, records of said Orange County; thence along said right-of-way line S 890 40' 35" E, 2725.93 feet; thence S 00 19' 25" W, 400.00 feet to a tangent curve concave northwesterly and having a radius of 900.00 feet; thence southwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 690 00' 00" an arc distance of 1083.85 feet; thence S 690 19' 25" W, 235.73 feet to a tangent curve concave northerly and having a radius of 1900.00 feet; thence westerly along said curve through a central angle of 210 07' 13" an arc distance of 700.37 feet; thence N 890 33' 22" W, 1237.39 feet to the point of beginning. Containing an area of 85.261 acres more or less. SECTION 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 13- 79 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa, District Map E-9 of the City of Costa Mesa, copy of which is on file in the office of the Planning Department is hereby amended by the addition thereto of the PDC and PDR -HD areas described in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become in full effect and force thirty (30) days from and after the passage thereof, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its passage shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and pub- lished in the City of Costa Mesa or, in the alternative, the City Clerk may cause to be published a summary of this ordin- ance and a certified copy of the text of this ordinance shall be posted in the office of the City Clerk five (5) days prior to the date of adoption of this ordinance and within fifteen (15) days after adoption, the City Clerk shall cause to be published, the aforementioned summary and shall post in the office of the City Clerk a certified copy of this ordinance together with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
