HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-16 Rezoning portion of Land Allotted to James McFadden; Rancho De Santa AnaORDINANCE NO. 84-16 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, CHANGING THE ZONING OF A PORTION OF THE LAND ALLOTTED TO JAMES MCFADDEN AS DESCRIBED IN DECREE OF PARTITION OF THE RANCHO DE SANTA ANA, FROM MP TO PDI. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS SECTION 1. There is hereby placed and included in the PDI zone, all that real property located at 3303 Harbor Boulevard, 1983-84 Assessor Parcel Number 139-031-39, situated in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, to wit: Costa Mesa Phase I and II That certain real property in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, described as: PARCEL I (Phase I) All that portion of the land allotted to James McFadden, as described in the Final Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, which was entered September 12, 1868 in Book "B", Page 410 of Judg- ments of the District Court of the 17th Judicial District in and for Los Angeles County, California, described as follows: Commencing at a point in the centerline of Harbor Boulevard, 120.00 feet wide, as described in the deed recorded in Book 4768, Page 203 of Official Records, distant thereon 1 degrees 11' 46" West, 370.87 feet frau its intersection with the centerline of South Coast Drive, as described in Book 8444, Page 393 of Official Records; thence South 88 degrees 53" 35" West, 60.00 feet to the Westerly line of said Harbor Boulevard, being the true point of beginning; thence South 88 degrees 53' 35" West, 520.50 feet; thence South 1 degrees 11' 46" East, 336.00 feet to the Northerly line of said South Coast Drive; thence, along said Northerly line, South 88 degrees 52' 50" West 295.00 feet; thence North l degrees 11' 46" West 582.88 feet;_ thence North 88 degrees 54' 20" East 815.50 feet to the said Westerly line of Harbor Boulevard; thence, along said Westerly line, South 1 degrees 11' 46" East, 246.67 feet to the true point of beginning. PARCEL II (Phase II) All that portion of the land allotted to James McFadden, as described in the Final Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, which was entered September 12, 1868 in Book "B", Page 410 of Judg- ments of the District Court of the 17th Judicial District in and for Los Angeles County, California, described as follows: Cammencing at a point in the centerline of Harbor Boulevard, 120.00 feet wide, as described in the deed recorded in Book 4768, Page 203 of Official Records, distant thereon North 10 11' 46" West, 370.87 feet from its intersection with the centerline of South Coast Drive, as described in Book 8444, Page 393 of Official Records; thence South 880 53' 35" West, 60.00 feet to the Westerly line of said Harbor Boulevard, being the true point of beginning; thence South 880 53' 35" West, 520.50 feet; thence South 10 11' 46" East, 336.00 feet to the Northerly line of said South Coast Drive; thence, along said Northerly line North 88° 52' 50" East, 120.50 feet to an angle point; thence North 860 58' 17" East, 300.17 feet to an angle point; thence North 880 52' 50" East, 72.95 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Northwesterly and having a radius of 27.00 feet, said curve being tangent at its Northerly terminus to the said Westerly line of Harbor Boulevard; thence Northeasterly, along said curve, through a central angle of 90° 06' 1011, an arc distance of 42.46 feet to said point of tangency; thence North 10 11' 46" West, 298.84 feet to the true point of beginning. SECTION 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 13-79 of the Costa Mesa Municipal Code, District Map B-9 of the City of Costa Mesa, a copy of which is on file in the office of the Planning Division, is hereby amended by the addition thereto of the PDI area described in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days from and after the passage thereof, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its passage shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa or, in the alternative, the City Clerk may cause to be published a summary of this Ordinance and a certified copy of the text of this Ordinance shall be posted in the office of the City Clerk five (5) days prior to the date of adoption of this Ordinance, and within fifteen (15) days after adoption, the City Clerk shall cause to - 2 - be published the aforementioned summary and shall post in the office of the City Clerk a certified copy of this Ordinance together with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
