Home My WebLink About94-18 Conflict of Interest CodeORDINANCE NO. 94-18 AN ORDINANCE OF=THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA,' AMENDING EXHIBIT A TO COSTA MESA MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 2-402 RELATING TO CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF.COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City- Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds and declares as follows: WHEREAS, the California Political.Reform Act, Government Code Sections 87306 and..87306.5 (".the Act"). ,requires the review and, where necessary,..•the amendment of. the City -of Costa Mesa Conflict of Interest -Code ("the Code") where: -a change in the Code is necessitated by changed circumstances, and changes in designated positions and duties of -existing positions; WHEREAS, on October 3, 19941 City Council directed the City Attorney to, and he has conducted a review of the Code and Exhibits A and B thereto, to comply with the requirements of -the Act; WHEREAS, amendments to Exhibit A of the Costa Mesa -Municipal Code Section 2-402 are necessitated by changes impositions and duties of existing positions, and no'other amendments to the Code are necessary in order to comply with the requirements of the Act; ACCORDINGLY, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa hereby amends the Costa Mesa Municipal Code -as hereinafter set forth. Section 2. Exhibit A of Section,,,2-402 of the Costa Mesa Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as, set forth in the attached Exhibit A, which is incorporated herein by this reference, and said exhibit shall be maintained on file and available .for public inspection in the off ice, of the City Clerk. Section 3. Publication. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect thirty (3 0) days from and after its passage and, before: the expiration of fifteen (15) days. after its passage, shall be published once 'in the NEWPORT BEACH -COSTA MESA PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, or, in the alternative, the City Clerk may cause to be published a summary of this Ordinance and a certified copy of the text of this Ordinance shall be, posted in the office of the City Clerk five (5) - days .prior to the, date of adoption of this Ordinance, and within fifteen (15 ) days after adoption,- .the City Clerk shall cause to be published the aforementioned summary and shall post in the office of the City Clerk _a certified copy of this Ordinance together with the names of .the members of the City.
