In response, I checked our records and I found that the last inspection of this roofing project was performed on October 11,2010 by Mark Perkins—Building Inspector. So it has been approximately 9 months since our inspection staff confirmed that progress had been made on this permit. Section 105.3.2 of the 2010 California Building Code stipulates that a permit does expire . if no progress has been made for a period exceeding 180 days therefore this permit has expired. The good news is that there is only one inspection left that needs to be performed so instead of charging you for a full new permit, I will authorize you to pay a one time inspection fee of$47.50 in order to renew this permit.
