Subject: Harbor and Gisler
Hello,
I have emailed City Council about a half a dozen times on this topic over the last two years and not received a single
response.
I'll try again because the City created and has allowed a very dangerous situation to exist.
The traffic backup onto Gisler caused by In and Out is very dangerous. I would like to see the traffic studies performed
before the City approved the development of In and Out and any follow on studies performed to address the traffic. I
spoke to city staff a year ago and they told me it was In and Out's responsibility to make sure cars did not back up onto
Gisler.
Well that plan has failed. Most days at any given time cars are not only backed up onto Gisler, but all the way past the
405 off -ramp. I takes 45 minutes for me to get form the Northbound Harbor 405 exit to Gisler because the traffic from In
and Out prevents vehicles from getting through the traffic signal. Now residents have decided we can turn right onto
Gisler from the second Harbor lane to bypass the In and Out back up. I witness near accidents and accidents daily.
As if the back up onto Harbor and Gisler is not bad enough the cars exiting In and Out into an already congested area is
equally dangerous. Double double in hand and vehicles entering into cross traffic with their view blocked by the cars
backed up to get into the driveway.
I have sent photos of this mess in my prior emails. I would be happy to have this item added to the next council agenda
so I can address —something I have also offered and received . Please respond providing me with the traffic studies
requested above.
