March 25, 1963
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa met in adjourned
regular session, -at 7:30 p.m., March 25, 1963, at the City
Hall, 695 West 19th Street, Costa Mesa, California, having
adjourned by order of the City Council at its regular
meeting of March 18, 1963, and the Clerk reported that a
copy of the Order of Adjournment had been posted as
required by law. The meeting was called to order by
the Mayor followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the
Flag and invocation with the Planning Commission.
Roll Call Councilmen Present: Tomchak, Wilson, Pinkley, Meyers,
Smith
Councilmen Absent: None
Officials Present: City Manager, City Attorney, City
Engineer, Director of Public Works,
City Clerk
Right of way The City Attorney presented a right of way contract
contract between the City of Costa Mesa and the Orange County Flood
Marina Control District covering the use of the channel connecting
the proposed marina and the sea. On motion by Councilman
Tomchak, seconded by Councilman Meyers, and carried, the
agreement was approved and the Mayor and the City Clerk
authorized to execute it in behalf of the City.
Transfer of The City Attorney also presented an agreement between the
easements City of Costa Mesa and Louis Lesser Enterprises, Limited,
Louis Lesser covering the transfer of easements in connection with the
Enterprises channel. On motion by Councilman Wilson, seconded by
Councilman Tomchak, and carried, the agreement was
approved and the Mayor and the City Clerk authorized to
execute it on behalf of the City.
Deed for ten acres On motion by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman
Lesser Enterprises Meyers, a deed from Louis Lesser Enterprises, Limited, of
ten acres in an area adjoining the channel, to the City
of Costa Mesa was accepted by the following roll call
vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Meyers, Smith, Wilson, Tomchak,
Pinkley
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: None
Execution of deed On motion by Councilman Meyers, seconded by Councilman
authorized Wilson, the Mayor and City Clerk were authorized to
execute a grant deed from the City of Costa Mesa to the
Orange County Flood Control District covering the said
ten acres by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Meyers, Smith, Wilson, Tomchak,
Pinkley
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: None
Adjournment On motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman
Tomchak, and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
